Compassion + Community at Rebirth Wellness Centre

VegFest London is excited and grateful to once again partner with Rebirth Wellness Centre at this year's festival. Rebirth will be hosting various interactive play-stations in the children's area . In addition to sponsoring the children's area, Rebirth is also providing another special place for families, a change and breastfeeding area. Recently we interviewed Jodi Tiller, Founder of Rebirth Wellness Centre to share more about what Rebirth offers and she even shares some great tips for busy mom's and dad's looking to add more plants to their families' meals.

What is the mission of Rebirth Wellness?

Rebirth Wellness Centre is a complete family wellness centre on a mission to help families be healthy, happy and truly thrive in their daily lives. Rebirth is about providing quality wellness services that inform, support and inspire individuals and families to live fully. And, Rebirth is about creating a community where people gather to connect, share and be well. We truly believe individuals thrive in connection, especially when navigating the many joys and realities of life as a family.

What is the story behind Rebirth Wellness and what services do you offer?

The idea of Rebirth came to me when I was a student of psychology doing research on the mother-infant attachment relationship. I went to University on a mission to help children and soon realized the best way I could help children would be to help their parents, especially mothers, as they are often the primary care providers. I wanted to create a ‘village’ for parents, which is what Rebirth has come to be. It’s where parents get the support they need to be healthy, happy parents.

Rebirth offers a range of wellness services intended to create a beautiful circle of support, or ‘village,’ under one roof. Rebirth offers Naturopathic Medicine, Acupuncture, Chiropractic Care, Registered Massage Therapy, Physiotherapy, Counselling, Birth and Postpartum Doula Services, Breastfeeding Support.

Rebirth also offer a range of educational workshops and classes geared to pregnancy, childbirth and life with a new baby including pre/postnatal yoga, Pilates, Stroller Fitness and much more.

Can you share some tips for busy mom's and dad's who want to incorporate more plants into their own as well as their children's meals?

Yes! We love chatting about ways to incorporate healthy food

Plan your meals and snacks as often as possible. Thankfully, there are plenty of web based resources and apps available to help.

Batch cook. Get into the habit of prepping for meals and snacks ahead of time. Keep all your plant power chopped and ready to go in the fridge whenever possible.

Smoothies and Juice – Nutrient-packed meals you can consume with one hand while on the move. Couldn’t be more perfect for a busy mom and family!! So much plant goodness can be packed into a delicious smoothie and juice.

This Ain’t Your Mama’s cookin’ ☺ - break out of the familiar by exploring all the fantastic plant-based cookbooks and blogs out there like Oh She Glows, YumUniverse or One Green Planet.

What does compassion mean to you?

It’s everything. To accept what it is with an open heart and mind, without judgment. Parents are constantly subjected to messages of how they should parent and how their baby/child should be. Messages that undermine their inner knowing, confidence and trust in themselves. At rebirth we truly believe that every parent is doing their best and that is enough. We offer compassion rather than judgment, trusting that parents need to find their own way. As ambassadors for natural health and living, we want to inspire individuals and families to reduce the use of toxins and thereby, reduce harm to their health, the health of the planet…and health of all the creatures who share this planet alongside us.

Rebirth was a part of VegFest London in its first year, sponsoring the children's area, can you share your experience from last year's event?

It was such a fantastic day filled with amazing energy, quality resources and eager individuals and families excited to explore what plant-based, compassionate living is all about.

What are you most looking forward to about this year's VegFest?

Last year was such a top notch experience and I know the organizers are committed to taking what they learned and making this year’s event even better. I’m excited to experience the great energy, explore the many more local businesses participating in the event, and all the interactive pieces like the presentations, demos and family activities.
